Description
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary processor and support contact for the Concur expense reporting platform, reviewing and auditing employee submissions for accuracy and compliance. Assist branches with proper GL coding, expense classifications, and system navigation.
Support the preparation and review of various financial and operational reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Perform journal entries and account reconciliations as needed.
Manage routine accounting tasks, including payables, accruals, and expense tracking.
Reconcile intercompany transactions and settlements.
Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit-related documentation requests, traveling 2-3 weeks per year to support management audits.
Lead ESG reporting by compiling and submitting utility usage and cost data to Reliance on a bi-annual basis.
Month-End Responsibilities & Reconciliations
Complete all assigned month-end close activities as outlined in internal checklists, including journal entries for payments, accruals (e.g., Professional Services), and other recurring entries.
Prepare and submit reconciliations in accordance with the month-end reconciliation checklist.
Additional Responsibilities
Process AP invoices as needed.
Crosstrain and provide coverage for other accounting team roles during absences or high-demand periods.
Respond to frequent ad hoc requests for reporting, data analysis, and financial insights.
Be flexible with work hours and open to overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
Take the initiative to resolve outstanding issues and help streamline accounting processes.
Remain effective under pressure or time-sensitive situations.
Demonstrate strong organizational and documentation skills.
Show a willingness to develop intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and financial systems.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; Accounting Degree preferred.
Seeking candidates with 3–5 years of experience in GL accounting roles
Proficiency in journal entries, month end, reconciliations, and accrual accounting.
Experience working in a multi-entity environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work through complex issues.
A desire for long-term career growth with the company, with an openness to internal promotions.
Experience in a larger corporate environment is a plus
Ability to clearly explain accounting principles
