About Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS):
Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is a K–12 public charter school located in Malden, Massachusetts. Today, the school serves over 1,600 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
MVRCS is committed to excellence through a foundation built on four key pillars: exceptional educators, a thoughtfully selected and faithfully implemented curriculum, high academic expectations, and a traditional approach to teaching. These components consistently lead to strong student outcomes and lifelong success.
Year after year, Mystic Valley is ranked among the top public schools—not only in Massachusetts, but throughout New England and across the United States. Our students regularly excel at the post-secondary level, a direct reflection of the rigorous academic preparation they receive during their time at MVRCS.
All students adhere to a school-wide dress code and attend classes for 200 instructional days—well above the traditional calendar. In addition, our school day is 60 minutes longer than that of most public schools. These extended learning opportunities enable MVRCS to deliver on its promise of providing students with access to a world-class education.
