Description We are in search of an Accounting Operations Assistant to join our team in the construction industry located in Modesto, California. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks ranging from front desk duties to financial tasks and property management. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, answering phone inquiries, and greeting visitors.
• Oversee property management duties, including coordinating with various parties concerning building-related property maintenance items.
• Handle accounts receivable, post payments, and create deposit slips.
• Use QuickBooks Online for regular financial tasks and during month-end closing.
• Exhibit the ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure smooth operation of the office.
• Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks, from document preparation to communication.
• Display proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, financial tracking, and record maintenance.
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced office environment. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial role
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
• Experience in handling deposits and managing financial transactions
• Proven ability to perform financial reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Advanced proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in QuickBooks preferably Online version.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
