Introduction to the team
We are currently seeking a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager – Sales & Use to join our firm. SALT Managers – Sales & Use are responsible for developing and delivering quality tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. They perform sales & use tax compliance reviews, assist clients with sales & use tax controversies, and research and draft technical memoranda regarding sales & use tax issues. As a Manager they will supervise the work of client service team members and participate in and contributing to attaining team goals.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s in Taxation or a JD with LLM in Tax a plus
CPA preferred. If not a CPA, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire in state of employment
Minimum of 4 years of experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on sales & use tax issue required
Experience training and supervising Staff and Seniors
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Must be a highly motivated self-starter and have experience in managing multiple client engagements
Experience in public accounting and/or a state and local government revenue department a plus
Experience with property, employment, income, gross receipts and other miscellaneous state and local taxes a plus

This is the typical range of pay for the position; however, actual pay may vary based on experience, skillset, and location. This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation Range (Denver Market ONLY): Greater Bay Area: $120,000 -$197,000 California State: $107,000 -$175,000
