Red River M365 Engineer in Nashville, Tennessee

The Microsoft 365 Engineer is responsible for system architecture, needs analysis, troubleshooting, within the Microsoft 365 Technology Stack for clients. The Microsoft 365 Engineer works on projects for Red River customers by collaborating with internal project managers and clients to complete project deliverables in a timely manner and within the requirements defined. This position will travel as part of on prem discovery, M&A projects, or as needed by projects up to 50% of the time.

Job Description

  • Works with or under the direction of senior engineers to develop Microsoft technology solutions by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks; recommending project approaches

  • Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to evaluate current systems topologies, and validate business and system requirements

  • Documents and presents Solution Design deliverables and facilitates sign off

  • Implements architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and consistency

  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence

  • Maintain frequent communication with peers and IT teams to maintain awareness of issues or changing process/standards

  • Constantly assess customer sentiment and feedback to identify areas for focus and improvement.

  • Establish and provide continuous improvement of client service delivery processes and standard operation procedures (SOPs).

MinimumEducation/Certification/ExperienceRequirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience with Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory

  • 3+ years of experience in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem,

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate

  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling,

  • Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment,

  • Experience identifying gaps in existing client skill base and developing documentation to include job descriptions for key architectural positions, skill requirements and required certifications for roles/positions, inventory of required competencies by job description/role, and an inventory of required technical skills by job description/role,

  • Knowledge of architecture governance best practices and experience applying them to solve client problems,

  • Experience defining the specific metrics which communicate the benefits of an architecture program to the business; tracking to what extent those benefits are being delivered on an ongoing basis; and identifying metric stakeholders and owners,

  • Knowledge of project management methodology,

  • Deployment and operational expertise with Windows 10.

PreferredEducation/Certification/Experience:

  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Admin certification (MS-110, MS-101)

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud,MEM, Defender for Endpoint, or SharePoint,

  • 3+ years of prior government and/or commercial consulting experience,

  • Experience with Google Cloud and Suite,

  • Knowledge of SAN and backup technologies,

  • Experienced with networking and network/system security,

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (Visio, PowerPoint, etc.),

  • Design and implement secure cloud application environments with centralize identity management,

  • Hands-on scripting experiencewith Powershell,

Essential Elements :

  • This position will operate primarily on a remote-basis with the requirement to attend customer meetings as needed.
