Description
The Director, FP& A, plays a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making within a fast-growing healthcare services company. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to provide key insights and recommendations to senior leadership, aimed at optimizing financial outcomes and supporting growth initiatives. The role significantly influences the organization's strategic direction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership
Lead the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes for company-wide operating expenses.
Perform ad hoc analyses and develop financial models to support and guide business decisions.
Support the implementation and development of enterprise-level budgeting and forecasting systems.
Oversee the cash forecasting and cash management process.
Identify and quantify risks and opportunities in financial forecasts and collaborate on risk mitigation plans.
Provide coaching and mentorship to an FP& A Analyst.
Business Partnering
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial insights and influencing strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with leadership to understand business dynamics, address operational challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Offer financial guidance to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.
Strategic Analysis
Conduct ad hoc analyses and present findings to evaluate the financial impact of various business initiatives.
Lead strategic decision-making through a comprehensive understanding of cost structures, industry trends, market dynamics, and internal performance metrics.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for actionable insights.
Results-oriented change agent with proven ability to build cross-functional relationships.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial management systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools).
Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
At least three (3) years of progressive experience in finance, with twelve (12) years of total relevant experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare finance or data analysis, preferably within a value-based care or health plan organization.
