We are currently searching for a Marketing Assistant in the Johns Island, SC, area for mission-driven non-profit. As they continue to grow, they are needing an individual to assist in driving the success of their events. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Please apply today if you are interested!

Responsibilities:

As the Marketing Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating events ensuring each event aligns with our mission and objectives.

  • Handling event logistics, including scheduling rentals, arranging assistance, and managing on-site coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • Creating compelling marketing materials such as social media posts, flyers, and email campaigns to promote events and increase attendance.

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders to support our events and organization.

  • Overseeing the overall success of events, monitoring metrics, and gathering feedback to continuously improve our event planning and execution processes.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a non-profit or community-focused setting.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and graphic design software.

  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for creating memorable experiences and driving positive change.
