[Joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Fabricates parts andmakes adjustments to prefabricated parts to ensure proper fit.  Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Works with and without complete engineering drawings as necessary. ]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}

  • [Use MIG, Stick and TIG welding techniques to join metal.]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Join prefabricated pieces using proper welding techniques to meet job specifications]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Fabricate and adjust pieces as necessary]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Understanding of basic metallurgy to allow for proper prep and finish of welded metals]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Preheat objects as necessary]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Use measurement and math skill to ensure quality of precision of projects]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Use forklifts/overhead cranes and other lifting/moving devices to maneuver projects]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Use grinder to properly finish materials]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
  • [Communication with Shop Foreman/Engineers and Project Managers]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-size:="" 12pt"=""}
