Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a LIHTC Leasing Specialist in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. This role is located in Oakland, California and focuses on managing leasing activities for properties across the East Bay. The position provides an opportunity to work both at headquarters and property sites, with a majority of time spent on property sites.
Responsibilities:
• Showcasing properties to prospective tenants while ensuring compliance with LIHTC regulations.
• Handling leasing inquiries through various means such as phone, email, and in-person visits, and providing accurate and timely information.
• Processing lease applications, conducting income verifications, and ensuring adherence to LIHTC occupancy guidelines.
• Collaborating with property management teams to maintain occupancy levels and address tenant needs.
• Keeping abreast of LIHTC regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
• Regularly travelling to properties within the LIHTC portfolio for site visits, meetings with property managers, and assessing leasing opportunities.
• Delivering exceptional customer service to tenants throughout the leasing process and during their tenancy.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of leasing strategies to achieve and maintain full occupancy.
• Completing administrative tasks related to leasing, including maintaining accurate records and preparing leasing reports. Requirements • Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Excel
• Typing speed of 45 - 60 WPM
• Knowledge and experience with LIHTC and HUD
• Familiarity with Yardi Software and Yardi Property Management
• Experience in Residential Property Management
• Ability to handle Compliance reporting and Compliance Functions
• Understanding of Government compliance and ability to Monitor Compliance
• Experience in Real Estate - Leasing
• Previous role as a Leasing Consultant
• Experience with Compliance in the Real Estate industry
• Familiarity with the local property market and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Professionalism and ability to maintain confidential information
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
