To assist the Superintendent and School board by organizing and coordinating agenda items, minutes of the Board meetings, reports and correspondence and perform activities necessary to facilitate the efficient operation of the Superintendents Office.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates communications between the Superintendent and the Board of Education, the Districts administration team, all school employees, the community and outside professional associates.
Prepares notices for special Board meetings and Board committee meetings in accordance with the Sunshine Law
Draft memos and letters both at the Superintendents directions, and using ones discretion, in response to requests or inquiries
Reviews mail to prioritize materials, as well as to handle items that do not need the Superintendents attention, or draft replies to correspondence, requests for information or reports
Provides background information to the Superintendent for responses to inquiries from administrators, staff members, teachers, parents, or students
Makes arrangements for conferences, retreats, and meetings for the Superintendent
Serves as the district liaison for public records requests
Maintains a filing system for the Office of the Superintendent
Coordinate the preparation and distribution of School Board Agenda items and related materials
Maintain Minute Book, Minute Index and Supplementary Minutes
Attend Board Meetings to take and transcribe minutes of the meetings
Maintain the Superintendents calendar and the district calendar for meetings held in the Board Room
Research minutes, School Board Policy, state statutes and other regulations as necessary
Advise and assist Benefits Specialist with insurance issues as necessary
Notarize documents as necessary
Any other duties as may be deemed necessary by the Superintendent
