1st Shift Kitting
Job Description
As a Shipping Clerk, you will use a computer system with tickets to know what to kit and pack. On average, you will pick and pack 4-500 pieces per hour, totaling around 14,000 pieces per week. You will need to report any inventory discrepancies to supervision, pack the oldest dated items first, and follow specific customer guidelines. Note that cell phone usage is prohibited while working, and you will be required to log in and out of equipment upon completion. Sharing of equipment is also required in the facility.
Responsibilities
Use a computer system with tickets to determine what to kit and pack
Pick and pack an average of 4-500 pieces per hour
Report inventory discrepancies to supervision
Pack items with the oldest date available first
Follow specific customer guidelines
Prohibit cell phone usage while working
Log in and out of equipment upon completion
Share equipment with other employees in the facility
Essential Skills
Ability to lift 20 lbs consistently for an 8-hour day
Previous experience in a fast-paced work environment
Comfortable with computer usage and RF scanners
Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and data entry
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in pick and pack roles
Background in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations
Proficiency with RF scanners

Work Environment
Work in a large 123,000 sq. ft. warehouse/distribution site with approximately 40 employees. The position is on the 1st shift, from 8 am to 4 pm. Overtime is infrequent and typically voluntary, mostly occurring on Saturdays. The dress code is casual, with no requirement for steel-toed shoes. Candidates can wear shorts or cut-offs as long as they are tasteful and appropriate. The interview process involves a single step.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
