Description:
Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a
PRN Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team!
Shift:
This position has a minimum scheduling requirement of one weekend every 4 weeks and 2-3 holidays/year. There is also the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as they are available. The candidate must maintain a current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania. Hospital experience preferred.

The pharmacist will be responsible for all medication verification/distribution and clinical activities. The candidate should also have knowledge of automated medication distribution systems, USP 797 and the ability to prepare intravenous medication utilizing aseptic technique. The successful candidate should possess good communication skills, including the ability to interact successfully with other colleagues to ensure efficient and safe distribution of medications. Ability to promote teamwork is essential.
- Job functions include, but not limited to: order verification, pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing, attending emergent responses to prepare medications and recommend dosing, clinical initiatives such as IV to PO interchanges, microbiology culture review and recommendations, and providing drug information.
