SUMMARY Duties will include, but not limited to, material handle using power moving equipment, pulling inventory, perform system transactions, staging and setting up materials, operate multiple (2 to 4) manual and auto inspection machines, and work independently in small self-managed teams.

Work safely within your area, following all work instructions and customer specifications, to ensure our fabrics are of the highest quality, and meet our customer's expectations. Review and understand all paperwork and customer specifics prior to starting the inspection process. Any questions, please ask in advance since the reworking of fabrics is time consuming. Be mindful of your efficiency and strive to produce the highest quality fabric in the shortest time frame. Constant motion and visual contact across the entire width of the fabric is required. You cannot stay at one area, and visually detect all defects across the entire width of the fabric. An inspector is required to patrol the entire width of the fabric, so sitting is prohibited. Maintain housekeeping, productivity, quality, ensure safety, and be a team player, by always helping your fellow co-workers. Foster an environment focused on Continuous Improvement. Transport rolls to machine. Load roll onto machine. Insert pipe through roll and position on creel stand. Thread Fabric through machine and onto take up roll. Reset yardage meter. Reroll and inspect fabric. Monitor fabric for defects. Mark or cut out defects as necessary. Record defects. Unload machine. Record production and quality information. Cut fabric at required yardage. Tape roll. Prepare and fasten tickets. Bag roll and tie. Place roll on pallet. Deliver completed rolls to packing. Performs additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.

ABILITY TO Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, Supervisors and Managements. Work independently with little or no supervision and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram record data or schedule form. Physically able to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment - manual dexterity, visual acuity, and speed. Effectively organize, set priorities, schedule assigned work; oversee multiple and rapidly changing priorities. Displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment. Effectively execute tasks. Exceptional work performance and attendance record. Solid leadership skills; able to lead by example; decision-maker and effective communicating. Moderate computer skills. Project a strong confidence and energetic presence. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, mathematics, and attention to detail. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
