*Compensation Range: *$17.48/hour

*FLSA Status: *Nonexempt

Work Location: Duquesne Family Support Center, 1 Library Place, Duquesne 15110

*Schedule: *9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, weekends and evenings as needed

*Travel Required: *Some travel may be required.

The Opportunity:

As the Family Development Specialist you would bring essential support to families by, coordinating in-home services and taking part in child development activities to empower and inspire. You'll work closely with families to set meaningful goals, connect them with vital resources, and bring the Parents as Teachers curriculum to life through engaging monthly home visits. Additionally, you'll conduct developmental screenings for young children and help parents become effective advocates. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 3 years of experience. OR
  • Associate degree  AND 2 years of experience. OR
  • Bachelors degree AND 1 year of experience. 

*Higher EDU. will be accepted in lieu of Bachelors degree, 1 year of experience will still be required.  

 

Education:

  •  Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field - Required

Experience

  • Work experience working with families and young children. - Required
  • Pervious nonprofit experience *- Preferred *

Required Clearances, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances prior to their first day of employment.
  • Candidates must have proof of full COVID 19 vaccination status *OR *be willing to obtain the COVID vaccine *OR *provide an applicable medical/religious exemption prior to the first day of employment.
