The Sr. Engineer - Asset Management will provide technical support and expertise for the lifecycle activities of Overhead and Underground, Transmission/Distribution Networks/Assets including but not limited to: poles, transformers, conductors, intelligent pole top devices, manholes, network vaults, radial vaults, underground cable, aerial cable manholes, pad mount transformers, network vaults, radial vaults, underground cable, aerial cable, and other associated equipment.

Location: HYBRID in Pittsburgh PA

Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning/Program Management: Identify and develop cost effective asset replacement projects and programs to address aging infrastructure and performance issues. Prioritizes programs and projects to align with company objectives and system needs. Technical Support: Provide, subject matter expertise, and technical support to engineering, shops, construction, and maintenance personnel to address equipment maintenance, testing, repairs, replacements, operations, compliance and/or technical specification matters. Standards Compliance: Support compliance with all internal and external standards including PUC, NESC and NERC by developing, monitoring, and managing programs as well as maintaining records and data in accordance with established requirements to meet all applicable standards. Preventive Maintenance Management: Establish, maintain, and execute tailored preventive maintenance programs for assets based on asset criticality and health to increase asset life. Provide technical support to field operations personnel to ensure effective application of sound maintenance practices and testing procedures are followed. Safety Consciousness: Evaluate current work methods to ensure that all applicable safety standards are being complied with and make recommendations to improved company operating practices in line with industry best practices. Other duties as assigned, assist in covering Storm Duty Responsibilities.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution preferred. In lieu of an engineering degree, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered. Seven (7) years of related experience required. Professional Engineering License preferred.

Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include: Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. Basic computer skills with Microsoft office proficiency. Experience utilizing Asset/work Tracking databases (such as Maximo) preferred. General knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NESC, NERC, FERC, and environmental regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements: Normal office environment with hybrid schedule, and some travel to different company service locations. Participation in field visits to work sites may include less the desirable conditions including but not limited to climbing ladders, walking in wooded areas, or visiting hazardous locations. A valid PA Driver's license is necessary for the position.

Storm Roles All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset.
