Kuehne+Nagel VDI Specialist - Citrix (m/f/d) in Porto, Portugal

Your Role

In this role, you will collaborate with an international team managing virtual desktop environments across our data centers and cloud infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing the entire infrastructure that supports the virtual workspace. At Kuehne+Nagel, the virtual workspace is essential to many employees, making independence and accountability critical aspects of this position. To succeed, you will need expertise in Citrix products and the ability to solve complex problems, automate manual tasks, and handle necessary migrations effectively.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the VDI environment.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve incidents as 2nd level support specialist.

  • Contribute to internal projects to expand the usage of our solution.

  • Secure the environment by installing the latest patches and security fixes.

  • Open for flexible working hours as we need to cover two time zones soon.

  • Execute and plan changes without disrupting the business process, including documenting and handing over to IT Support.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience with Citrix and CitrixWEM.

  • Experience with Windows 11 deployments and virtual desktop infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with automation, monitoring, and scripting.

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Server 2019/2022 is advantageous.

  • Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Proven analytical ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Adaptability to the dynamic IT landscape.

  • A cooperative mindset with a commitment to a positive team environment and fluency in English.
