Connexus Energy Administrative Assistant in Ramsey, Minnesota

Connexus Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. In this position you will perform general, specialized, and confidential administrative functions for various departments and personnel, organize and coordinate community and stakeholder engagement activities, support the Connexus Energy Foundation, and work in collaboration with the Executive Assistant in support of board related activities.

Key Responsibilities & Results:

Member & Community Engagement - Supports the Manager of Executive Services with annual meeting and director election member communication and other activities; coordinates community donation programs including Dollars for Doers , Your Community Your Choice , online donation requests and donations of baskets for charitable events; coordinates and schedules American Red Cross blood drives, Connexus safety demonstrations, and board/staff representation at sponsored galas and special events.

Public Affairs Support – Supports the cooperative’s advocacy activities by coordinating meetings with public officials, state legislators, NGO’s, and other external stakeholders in coordination with CEO, vice presidents, and other staff schedules; organizes the annual legislative energy forum and day on the hill; coordinates annual MREA Resolution review and REPAC participation; manages and updates distribution lists; assists in creating public affairs stakeholder communications; tracks established metrics and prepares activity reports for board meetings.

Connexus Energy Foundation – Supports the Foundation officers in coordinating and executing quarterly meetings and other activities, attending and serving as recording secretary; prepares and distributes minutes of Foundation meeting, quarterly reports, and other documentation; maintains corporate records, preserving confidentiality when essential; coordinates Connexus scholarship request, distribution, and presentation.

Administrative Business Support – Assists various other leaders and departments with the coordination and execution of projects and meetings; updates the cooperative’s rate book annually, or as changes occur, in collaboration with appropriate staff; provides project and administrative support to the Business Continuity Team; guides and supports the Connexus Energy Heritage Project by maintaining electronic, paper, object collections and assisting with updating and cataloging the collection; assists in identifying, tracking, and preparing submissions and reporting for state and/or federal funding opportunities; assists with records management, ensuring contracts and other documents are accurately uploaded to the archiving system.

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • High school or General Equivalency Diploma

  • Three or more years administrative support experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Strong orientation to details, ability to prioritize and maintain confidentiality

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

    Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • Associate’s degree, technical college administration certification or equivalent work experience
