THE POSITION:

MTI is looking for a Subject Matter Expert - Air Traffic Control Specialist to play a critical role in supporting a new project for the FAA in developing demonstrable concepts of operations that will enable the evolution of the US National Air Space (NAS). This role will help improve the efficiency and increase Airspace User access and flexibility during surface and En route operations, by supporting the development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects. Supports and assists in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of implementation issues generated by such projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports and assists in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of implementation issues generated by such projects.

  • You will be part of a high-performing human factors team working with other engineers and designers across the project from multiple teammate companies and the government customer

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in Air Traffic Control elements in the design, development, analysis, and evaluation of all aspects of the system across the lifecycle, which may include mission systems architecture.

  • Ensure compliance with human factors standards and best practices while supporting the development of a usable and mission-effective system

  • Interface with the government customer, and other teammates in technical meetings to provide human factors expertise and analysis

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a U.S citizen that could be able to obtain a US DoD security clearance

  • 20+ years of demonstrated experience in an Air Traffic Control environment

  • Candidate must have active, full performance level (FPL) ATC experience in any of the following: Terminal, Enroute, Oceanic, Traffic Flow Management, or Flight Service Station
