Description: A remote Wiring and Harness Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering, supporting one of our major aerospace customers. This position can be full-time, direct opportunity with benefits or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.

Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer job duties:

  • Responsible for creation of wiring diagrams and harness manufacturing diagrams from supplied network/block diagrams, schematic diagrams, channelization databases and/or electrical interface control drawings.

  • Responsible for electrical harness routing and identification of support solutions within a variety of aerospace vehicles.

  • Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production detail parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for aerospace electrical design.

  • Support customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phases

  • Travel 25% or less

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Experienced with electrical harness design and routing in Catia V5 required.

  • Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths,

  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customers

  • Manage time efficiently, and produce accurate designs

  • Ability to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasks

  • Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required.

Preferred:

  • Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues

  • Background/interest in aerospace (school/internship/work experience)

  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ITAR trade compliance

  • Experience with following software tools: CADDS 5, Mentor Capital, Capital Logic, PDM/DCAC/MRM, BOEBE Apps for CATIA, CATIA/Enovia, Bogart, WIRS, Electrical Web Apps (WLI/ELI), IVT FASTR, eDAT

  • Experience with CAD Software UGNX, Creo, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc. are also considered.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
