Robert Half Interim Chief Financial Officer in San Diego, California

Description Management Resources is partnering with a Non-Profit client who is need of a CFO Consultant to join our team for a period of 1-2 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of finance & accounting duties including preparing the budget for 2024 and overseeing the accounting department for all areas of financial grants and contacts management. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a non-profit accounting background to make a significant contribution an organization with a great cause. This role is requires first week in office and 100% remote thereafter.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the 2024 fiscal budget in excel

• Close out Fiscal year including the preperation of Financial Statements

• Manage daily accounting activities including all aspects of grant accounting

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and billing for all grant funds

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Prior experience with Non-Profit Accounting Standards

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or related field

• Strong proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, sumifs, and concatenate formulas

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
