Robert Half Quality Assurance Specialist in Santa Rosa, California

Description

• Researches laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and/or technical reference materials related to continuous performance and quality improvement activities.

• Ensures needed data is collected on a timely basis.

• Reviews and updates policies and procedures to ensure meet regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to The Joint Commission, CDPH, CMS. Comparing policies and procedures against regulatory requirements.

• Analyzes, tracks, trends, and interprets data to identify issues or potential areas of risk.

• Develops and written narrative and statistical reports.

• Develop and provide effective training to staff to improve operational and program efficiencies.

• Keeps supervisor informed of all regular communications and reports.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Upholds the Organization’s ethics and customer service standards.

• Serves as the Patient Ombudsmen in facilitating the facility’s handling and response to patient complaints/grievances and satisfaction surveys.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Licensing:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college university. Preferred major in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Behavioral Health and/or Hospital background preferred

• General knowledge of areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment preferred.

• Current CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities:

• Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times

• Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.

• Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)

• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding organization.
