Job Description

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work closely with all personnel, and exhibit good time management skills. They must possess the ability to be accurate and systematic in approach, in a fast-paced environment. The role involves setting up and operating a variety of CMM machines and inspection tools to ensure quality parts are being fabricated, as well as knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures. You will be required to calculate dimensions and tolerances using your knowledge of mathematics and possess a high knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of CMM machines and inspection tools.

  • Ensure quality parts are being fabricated.

  • Work closely with shift managers to maximize workflow.

  • Ensure final inspection, outsourced, and in-process parts are manufactured to customer PO and print.

  • Complete shipping inspection by reviewing all paperwork being sent to the customer and ensuring compliance with customer Q-Clauses and PO requirements.

  • Follow inspection procedures for each inspection.

  • Sign off each step on the router.

  • Keep up with calibration logs and calibrate employees' and CIM inspection equipment.

  • Generate RMA, NCR, and CAR with an ERP system (E2 Shoptech).

  • Conduct in-process inspection parts and processes to evaluate parts quality during machining.

  • Manage time to maximize workflow of parts.

  • Walk the shop floor to ensure all jobs are running per print, and all procedures are being followed.

  • Organize and maintain the MRB cabinet.

  • Ensure the calibration log is reviewed daily and up to date.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santee, California

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
