Robert Half Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant in Scottsdale, Arizona

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is within the Investment Advisory industry and requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for assisting the main accounting personnel, creating invoices and client statements, and performing other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks for accurate financial tracking and reporting.

• Create and send out invoices and client statements to clients promptly.

• Assist the main accounting personnel in managing the company's financial transactions.

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly for financial transparency.

• Handle data entry tasks as necessary for maintaining accurate financial records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for updating spreadsheets and working comfortably with formulas.

• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Handle payroll activities to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in Bookkeeping practices

• Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Data Analyses

• Experience with Month End Close activities

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (preferred but not mandatory)

• Prior experience in the investment advisory industry (preferred but not mandatory)
