Description We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Shelby, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly categorized.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met and reports are accurate.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data and generate reports.
• Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
