Summary This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Office of Observations (OBS), Surface and Upper Air Division (SUAD) with one vacancy located in Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities The working title for this position is IT Support Section Chief. As an IT Support Section Chief, you will perform the following duties: Manage and oversee the operations and maintenance of assigned IT systems in support of the Surface and Upper Air Division (SUAD) mission. Serve as the IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all assignments, providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues. Exercise supervision and managerial responsibilities for the work of the IT Support Section staff.
