Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

Minimum Work Experience

  • 1 year or more experience in an acute care setting preferred. Required Certifications/Skills
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Department/Unit Summary

  • 10-14 day LOS, see patients recover and get better, usually return home to their prior status. Lots of therapy staff is present on the unit to assist with ADLs.

  • Patients receive 3 hours of therapy per day every day.
  • Option to work only every 6thweekend, no mandatory overtime (3 shift per week only).
  • Extremely flexible scheduling options.
  • Provider coverage on unit to provide nursing support 24/7.
  • Admissions and discharges are planned well in advance, so it is much less turnover for patients than an inpatient setting. About our Health System
