About the Role

The role is in the feature performance validation team for Thermal and Interior Sensing products. We ensure that features are correctly tested and meet the expected customer targets. We pride ourselves on always finding the best test methods to ensure a quality product our customers can trust in. Thermal and Interior Sensing products are always changing, and you can expect a rewarding environment in which you will be challenged to find the right solution. You will get exposure to a collaborative team that works across different groups giving you exposure to different areas within the organization and expanding your mind on what is possible.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the feature development team to understand interior sensing features (ex. Driver Drowsiness Detection)

  • Review system level feature requirements and provide feedback to the feature development teams

  • Write test cases for system level features based on requirements

  • Write test plan(s) for validating system level features

  • Develop a process for validating each system level requirement (Collecting data to reporting)

  • Gathering the equipment needed to perform each test case

  • Working with the garage team to setup the vehicle

  • Write statements of work for the tools team to create automation tools (ex. Processing data)

  • Review results and next actions with supplier or development team

Who we are looking for

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of experience working in the automotive industry

  • Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Ethernet)

  • Basic knowledge of the Python programming language
