Description
We are in St. Paul Minnesota, and are currently in search of a Sr. Accountant. This role will involve various accounting responsibilities, including processing financial statements, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage monthly budgets for distribution within the team.
• Oversee and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reports for upper management.
• Ensure accuracy and timely updates in QuickBooks for all billing and payments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor expenditure by managing budgets.
• Assist in coordinating special projects and initiatives.
• Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
• Work closely with IT on related matters, including setting up and maintaining emails, and budgeting.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll, when required.
• Perform other duties and assist with other company department projects as requested.
Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Demonstrable experience in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring the company's financial records are in sync with bank statements.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger management, capable of accurately tracking all financial transactions.
• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries, ensuring they adhere to accounting standards and principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of using advanced functions for efficient financial data management.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported within deadlines.
• Ability to prepare and review Financial Statements, ensuring they accurately represent the company's financial status.
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of Profit and Loss management, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data to aid business decisions.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to efficiently manage and analyze financial data.
