Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Sugarland, Texas. In this Contract-to-long-term position, you will play a key role in managing business-to-business (B2B) collections and maintaining positive client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts receivable and dispute resolution, along with exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee B2B collections activities, ensuring timely payment and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Regularly review and monitor aging reports to track overdue accounts.
• Manage construction liens and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Assist with cash applications to reconcile payments and accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving disputes.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Handle portal billing processes to streamline invoicing and payment tracking.
• Utilize Great Plains software for financial tasks and reporting.
• Apply basic Excel functions for data analysis and reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable roles.
• Proficiency in managing accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and billing.
• Strong skills in dispute resolution and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Great Plains software is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Excel for data management and analysis.
• Experience with customer portals and B2B collections is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle inbound calls and manage claim administration effectively.
