Uber Engineering Manager II - InsurTech in Sunnyvale, California

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in our InsurTech team to shape and deliver the technical roadmap of our next-generation insurance products, impacting millions of users every day. In this role, you'll partner closely with teams across Product, Data Science, Actuarial, and Legal to create innovative solutions that meet Uber's diverse insurance needs. This highly visible position drives tangible improvements to both internal operations and our customers' experience, while significantly influencing the company's bottom line.

Lead and Inspire : Manage a diverse team of frontend and backend engineers, building microservices and full-stack web applications.

Own the Roadmap : Partner with Product Management to define, prioritize, and deliver on product goals.

  1. Proven Leadership : 5+ years of software engineering management experience, with a track record of recruiting and developing high-performing teams.

  3. Action-Oriented : Comfortable moving quickly and thoughtfully, striking a balance between speed and quality.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
