Change Grow Live Criminal Justice Dependency & Recovery Volunteer (Tamworth) in Tamworth, United Kingdom

We are looking for motivated people who want to gain volunteer experience in the Criminal Justice and Dependency & Recovery fields.

You will have an understanding of the issues faced by our Service Users and be passionate about supporting people to change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential.

We are a specialist service dedicated to supporting people on probation impacted by substance misuse. Our projects are based in the West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.

As a Criminal Justice Dependency and Recovery Volunteer, you will work in close collaboration with Dependency and Recovery Coordinators (D&R Coordinator) and Criminal Justice Probation Services to deliver a range of tailored activities to adult males on probation.

You will assist in delivering drug and alcohol interventions and encourage motivation to support the person on probation (PoP) to achieve their goals around their substance misuse and offending behaviour.

You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role.

For this particular volunteer vacancy we are looking for applicants that can travel to Tamworth Probation once a week on either Tue/Wed/Thur to support our Senior Dependency & Recovery Coordinator.
