Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Specialist in Tokyo, Japan

You will be part of our Air Logistics team, adding your procurement, carrier + relationship management expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.

Your Role

Your primary objective will be to support capacity + pricing procurement for regular as well as adhoc business + trade lanes by ensuring Carrier Management is a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers, always in alignment with policy.

You will need to liaise with internal + external stakeholders while aligning the interests of each with our key objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • To lay out a procurement plan for assigned area of responsibility in alignment with larger initiatives.

  • To evaluate current carrier share for key trade lanes, recommending optimization measures to maximizecore carrier share.

  • To evaluate opportunities to consolidate current volumes to achieve better yields and help optimize ANR,laying the foundation for future business development opportunities.

  • To work with the procurement team in the promotion of consol / build up pallet deals, helping to createefficiencies in our long term procurement efforts.

  • To evaluate carrier metrics + ensure volume allocations are in line with targets to support PCP programsuccess.

  • To monitor + push for maximization of volumes via our Gateways, to achieve better consol benefits as wellas supporting cost management.
