Job Overview:
Critical role in maintaining effective financial operations and inventory management. The position will play a pivotal role in managing inflow/outflow shipment management, standard margins, and operational expenditures. Additionally, this role will take proactive measures to improve forecast accuracy for shipment, standard margins, OPEX, and working capital.
Responsibilities:
Handle day-to-day accounting operations and Monthly/Qtrly/Yrly reporting functions.
Manage local inventory item maintenance and costing process, and take lead of inventory turn improvement.
Support local tax, treasury, and secretarial functions, closely cooperating with corporate tax, treasury, and legal team.
Support ensuring good corporate governance and enforce compliance with corporate policies and local statutory regulations.
Establish good financial controls in accordance with Fluke audit/compliance requirement.
Drive process improvements initiatives, including inflow/outflow (shipment) management to increase productivity and efficiency of the company.
Support preparation of OPEX budget/forecast and work with department heads to achieve OPEX target.
Perform analysis of financial data, including shipment, standard margin, OPEX, Working Capital, and track actual performance vs forecasts, to ensure forecast accuracy.
Work with sales and operations team to achieve bookings and shipments as per forecast.
Assist sales/marketing team in data analysis necessary to drive sales growth.
Work on Fortive projects, and Back Office Kaizen.
Any other adhoc jobs are assigned.
Qualifications:
Professionally qualified Accountant, with a minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience.
Previous experience of working for large multi-national companies
Commercial business experience with the ability to be a partner to the business.
Problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the understanding of key financial drivers of the business.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross culturally, both in English and Japanese.
Can do attitude with a proven track record of results achievement, budgeting, planning, forecasting and demonstrated business acumen.
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures, and compliance regulations
Experience of working with Oracle and Hyperion as a financial reporting tool
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
