Opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Philanthropy & Partnerships, the Manager, Mass Marketing is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, donor engagement, and revenue growth.

This role leads the strategy and implementation of mass marketing initiatives across digital, print, and broadcast channels, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and audience insights. This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic leadership with hands-on innovation – leveraging both traditional and digital platforms to reach new audiences and deepen supporter relationships

Aligned to the organization’s philanthropy strategic framework, plan, lead and execute integrated, operational business plans to develop mass fundraising strategies in achieving overall financial and non-financial objectives.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include creation and oversight of an integrated solicitation plan for annual donors as well as developing and overseeing strategies to grow the annual donor base and increase total giving.

• Develop and execute both short- and long-term strategic plans for mass marketing programs, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

• Plan and execute direct mail, email, social media, and online giving platforms, ensuring a cohesive and integrated donor experience.

• Develop and implement data mining, segmentation, and predictive analytics strategies to maximize solicitation yields, deepen donor engagement, and drive personalization across all annual giving activities.

• Ensures the maintenance of the digital and social presence ensuring that the information is accurate, enticing and motivating and contribute towards web, marketing and brand development projects

• Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, freelancers, in the delivery of integrated mass marketing programs by overseeing campaign plan briefs, providing strategic direction, approving copy and creative, and facilitating required donor data.

• Manages external vendors that support our donations processing, face -to-face, telemarketing and digital campaigns.

• Utilize donor CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and fundraising-specific technologies to track activity, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform strategy development.

• Collaborate with the senior philanthropy team and program leads to develop strategies

to contribute to overall fundraising targets and initiatives.

• Develop, monitor and track revenue and expense budgets for the Annual Mass Marketing campaign in collaboration with the AVP, Philanthropy.

• Establish and track key performance metrics, including revenue raised, donor engagement rates, donor retention and return on investment.

Qualifications and experience

• Post-secondary level education either from a university or college

• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.

• A minimum of 5 years of in fundraising with a focus on mass or direct marketing

• Proven track record of managing successful multi-channel campaigns and achieving revenue targets.

• Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms)

• Excellent project management and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Experience in the nonprofit or fundraising sector is an asset

• Experience managing budgets and preparing financial reports.

• Experience with development of direct response plans, budgets, performance metrics, analytics and on-going management and tracking of results

• Experience evaluating and implementing technologies that drive donor acquisition and engagement

• Previous project management and proficiency in workflow planning

• Experience working with external suppliers and providing guidance and/or direction for creative and copywriting, digital and face-to-face campaigns,

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. 

• Self-motivated to achieve results and an effective team player. 

• Ability to work in a results-driven environment to meet fundraising metrics and goals.

• Technological fluency, including data systems and CRMs, such as Salesforce, with experience using reporting applications and dashboards.

• Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports. Supervise daily activities, set clear performance expectations, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Sound and independent judgement; ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion where required.

• Demonstrated familiarity with, and a strong commitment to, understanding and supporting the unique needs, rights, and experiences of people living with disabilities (PLWD).

• Work outside regular office hours on occasion as needed.
