Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the logistics industry based in Torrance, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sales/cost analysis and account reconciliations for assigned branches.

• Prepare and adjust journal entries as needed, including for amortization and budget accrual.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly standalone financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

• Assist in preparing the quarterly package for the parent company and prepare and file various tax and government forms.

• Answer inquiries from executive assistants and branch managers regarding payroll matters.

• Maintain the ASC 842 lease and fixed assets schedule and assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

• Assist in the preparation of information requested by tax accountant for income tax filings.

• Assist in preparing tax provision entries and perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP in the execution of these responsibilities. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the logistics industry is essential.

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and reports.

• Demonstrated expertise in performing account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Advanced understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

• Ability to prepare and record journal entries as per business requirements.

• Exceptional analytical skills to analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to report to senior managers and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in task completion and reporting.

• Must have the capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, laws and regulations.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting.
