JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Management Entity for Pennsylvania (PA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education (SNAP-Ed), a federally funded program providing nutrition education to low-income audiences across the Commonwealth, is seeking a candidate for a Nutritionist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing proposals and serving as a proposal manager for assigned Partners (PA SNAP-Ed Providers) during the annual Request for Partners and Plan amendment submission periods.

  • Conducting program monitoring and site reviews for assigned Partners to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Providing technical assistance and training to PA SNAP-Ed Partners.

  • Reviewing education materials for compliance with SNAP-Ed federal guidance and alignment with the PA SNAP-Ed Plan.

    This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-site work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

    Education and Experience:

    This position typically requires a Bachelor’s D egree plus four years of related experience o r an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one degree must be in nutrition from an accredited university. Registered Dietitian preferred. In-state travel is required.

    Additional Information:

    This is a limited-term appointment funded through September 30, 2023, with a good possibility of re-funding.

    This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
