Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $92,230 - $117,580 / year. The starting pay rate will be based on years of experience.

A Typical Day for the Director of Hospice with WesleyLife at Home:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Establish strategic direction and implement plans focusing on quality, compliance, and financial goals in collaboration with senior leadership.

  • Continuously evaluate satisfaction, quality, and performance, implementing efficiency processes.

  • Partner with the sales team to identify growth opportunities and conduct marketing activities.

  • Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure the department meets regulatory requirements, laws, policies, and ethical standards.

  • Conduct and manage quality assurance surveys.

  • Collaborate with other departments to meet patient needs and develop staffing models, quality practices, and compliance standards.

  • Complete regulatory information and licensure applications on time.

  • Patient and Market Focus

  • Drive patient satisfaction and market positioning through quality, innovation, and patient experience.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to support business growth.

  • Integrate WesleyLife services within the community and maintain professional relationships.

  • Team Management and Development

  • Oversee compliance and daily clinical/operational activities, delegating tasks to direct reports.

  • Recognize and celebrate team and individual successes, ensuring consistent communication.

  • Manage and lead the hospice team, ensuring proper training and clear role definitions.

  • Operational Management

  • Develop and manage budgets, measuring care effectiveness and service quality.

  • Manage emergencies professionally, ensuring qualified team oversight during absences.

  • Perform on-call duties and travel as needed for client visits.

  • Serve on the Hospice Advisory Council and engage in community functions.

  • Complete other assigned duties and maintain regular attendance.

Qualifications

Education

Preferred

  • Bachelors or better in Health Administration

  • Bachelors or better in Nursing

Experience

Required

  • 3 years: A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience is required

  • 5 years: 5 years of previous hospice (preferably home hospice) experience is required

  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background check, pre-employment health assessment, and drug screen

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, valid insurance, and clean driving record

Preferred

  • Experience in operational, strategic, and budgetary planning and implementation

  • Business development experience with demonstrable success as shown through census/revenue growth
