Job Title : Lead Electrician

Pay : 53.96$ Hourly

Job Description

Our client is undertaking a significant expansion project with a nearly 2-billion dollar rebuild of a major hospital in Vancouver. This project includes the construction of a world-class life sciences research facility. The client has been named both the electrical and technology contractor for this new hospital project.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as a team lead leading apprentices

  • Install and maintain electrical systems in accordance with local and national codes.

  • Bend and install conduits as required by project specifications.

  • Perform wiring and conduit bending tasks in commercial and institutional settings.

  • Supervise a team of 5-8 apprentices and journeyman electricians.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times on the job site.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in conduit bending.

  • Experience in commercial or institutional projects.

  • Previous lead hand experience managing a team of 5-8 apprentices/journeyman.

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial projects.

  • Fall protection certificate (nice to have).

Work Environment

The work schedule consists of 4-10 hour shifts, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with an option for Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts. The project is expected to complete around July 2026. The work environment includes a benefits package, pension, and other benefits determined by the Union. Currently, there are around 400 electricians on-site, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work culture.

The pay range for this position is $100256.00 - $112257.00
