Description Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing team in the Vernon, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. How you will make an impact
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - ERP system experience
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Journal entries experience preferred
Strong familiarity with general ledger
Well-founded grasp of forecasting
General familiarity with Perform Audits
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
General ledger experience
Practical knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts
Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Skilled at time management
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Vow to meet business deadlines
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong attention to detail
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
