Overall purpose of job:
The function holder is responsible for:
Leading the Project Management Office for EMEA region, through efficient and flawless Project Management execution for Commercial Quality (customer service, distribution & transportation and local operating companies).
Run EMEA CQ projects and CIPs and manage the project management team.
Detecting need for Q&C resources in ongoing/new projects.
Providing guidance for project management by coaching, use of templates etc.
Managing the EMEA Regional goals & objectives and periodic reporting process.
Leading the consultancy managed service to improve performance, reliability and cost where possible for both MedTech & Pharm segments.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Resource Management & Project Execution:
Manage effectively PM team & activities:
Monitor project pipeline, manage and assign resources to projects in partnership with the MedTech Q&C Leadership team.
Support Project Managers with coaching, manage resources & oversee spend.
Drive flawless project execution by ensuring milestone schedule / stage gates, Final Project objectives and scope agreed upon during formal Project Kick Off are tracked during Project Leadership Team reviews.
Ensure interdependencies and risks are properly highlighted and escalated through the proper channels.
Support allocation of consulting resources via the managed service model and other consulting services to ensure appropriate expertise and financial/cost management.
Manage key strategic projects:
- Upon request lead strategic projects.
Strategic leadership:
Leads key Project Management Office processes: portfolio governance, financial reporting, project governance review.
Manage relationships and communications with strategic partners and senior leaders to provide information and insights to enable decisions, approvals and strategic plans.
Supports QMS, Strategy & Deployment Director in preparing for key governance and stakeholder sessions.
Leads Portfolio Management segment strategy. Prepares the storyline for the submissions, provides strategic recommendations on trade-offs and opportunities during the financial cycles.
Supports Cost Improvement Programs for the region as part of commercial and distribution strategy.
Partner with external PMOs for Commercial, Distribution/Transportation/Customer Services projects.
Oversees the portfolio health of CQ projects for EMEA and provides comprehensive overarching impact assessments, including but not limited to resource and financial impacts.
Drives continuous process improvements across the region for those managing projects.
Implements Project Management methodology using FPX methodology and documentation.
Ensure project related quality changes are documented per the agreed Change Control structure and QS IT Tool.
Manages and coaches the team for project management of large and smaller size projects
Manage associated resources and budgets required for the consultancy managed service and provide transparency to required stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential knowledge and skills:
University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Minimum 8 years in relevant leadership roles, including Project management of large size projects.
Experience working in a global function and matrix environment required.
Experience in multiple functions such as Q&C, Logistics, Customer Services or Supply Chain within Health care environment required.
Expertise in PMO and Project Management, acquisition and divestiture management, due diligence, etc.
Proven track record developing and building diverse, high-performance teams with a strong sense of mission.
Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships internally and externally with customer focus.
Experience leading project management portfolios.
Experience in analytics roles or projects requiring significant data complexity.
Presence and persistence to be a challenge partner to business leaders throughout regional commercial and distribution organization.
Strong business acumen.
Foundational finance knowledge
Fluency in English (both verbal and written); other languages an asset.
Knowledge of QMS processes & applicable major regulations e.g.EU MDR.
