Job Description

The College of Business, Engineering, and Technology (CBET) occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct instructors appointed on a per semester basis. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Computer Science / Management Information Systems (CS/MIS) areas adds applicants to a pool which is available to the department for selection as needed for Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and/or Fall 2025.

Minimum educational requirements: Master's degree in appropriate field, preferably a doctorate degree in CS, MIS, or a closely related field. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally/nationally accredited institution. Transcripts will be required for credentialing and background check.

Duties: Required to teach Computer and network Security, Digital Forensics, IT Law & Ethics, Mobile App Development, Data Analytics, AI and ML, apart from Introductory courses in Computer Science and MIS course(s) in the face-to-face modality and/or online format. Courses may be conducted as 8-week term, or 16-week term. Apart from teaching asynchronously or synchronously using Zoom/Canvas platform, the ideal candidate must coordinate course administrative duties such as, but not limited to, timely grading of student work, delivering all course content per the schedule, such as assessments and lecture modules, meeting with students either face to face or via Zoom, submitting grades in a timely manner, adhering to census and grade deadlines, and additional administrative duties as needed.
