Chubb Small Business isseekingan experienced, strategic product line expert to lead our Product organization.Reporting to the Division Head of Underwriting & Portfolio, theSVP ofProduct will have direct P&LaccountabilityforCommercialP&C product lines(Business Owners Package, Umbrella, Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto).He / shewill set the strategic directionfor Chubb’s small business product suite,driving coverageand technology innovationsto deliver market leading insurance offerings. They will oversee theproductroadmap and vision,prioritizingexcellence incustomer experience, underwriting and efficiency.The SVP ofProductwilldirectly oversee P&C product management teams and cross-function agile delivery squadstodeliver Chubb Small Business strategicobjectives.

KeyResponsibilities

  • P&L owner for Commercial P&C products (Business Owners Package, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, & Auto) across all digital distribution channels and geographies

  • Direct management ofBOP & Umbrella and WC & AutoProduct Lineleaders and their teams of product managers and analysts

  • Lead the ‘Product Factory’ Sub-Domain –establish OKRs andoversee cross-functional agile teams building and managing productacrossChubb’s digital ecosystem

  • Accountable for 5 Year Strategic Plan, AnnualPlanand production management /forecasting atProduct / Line of Business level

  • Drive the development of digital solutions for your domain to deliver Chubb’s underwriting craftsmanship andexpertisedigitally throughout the customer journey

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of product forms, including filings, coverage standards and configuration

  • Oversee the execution of technological advancements and day to day activities across Filing, Compliance, and Competitive Analytics

  • Accountable for ensuringhigh standardsof underwriting practices, including underwriting governance, Audit, Emerging risk / Corporate Underwriting compliance and authority across automated and referral environments

  • Accountable for the implementation and management of underwriting technology (e.g.Rules Management, Policy Administration Systems)

  • Set strategic direction for technology development to maximize efficiency and scalability of foundational platforms

  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Management & Portfolio Insights functions to continuouslymonitorthe health and performance ofeach line of business respectively; implement proactive portfolio management actions to achieve profitability objectives

  • Providethought leadership and strategic direction for the integration of advanced analytics (AI / ML) in allfacetsof product configuration, underwritingrulesand appetite

Education & Experience

  • 10 years of experience in Small Commercial P&C product, portfolio management and/orunderwriting

  • 7years ofproven results as a direct Product /P&Lowner for P&C product(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, ActuarialScienceor related fields;Mastersdegrees & professional certifications a strong plus

  • Strong knowledge of US DOI insurance regulations and requirements, and working knowledge of US GAAP for FAS 60 product / US statutory financial requirements

  • Extensive direct experience in the development and implementation of advanced analytics, pricing, regulatorycomplianceand policy administration technologies

In New York, NY the pay range for the role is $165,000 to $280,500. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
