Overview

This position will research, develop recommendations to management and assist in the implementation of customer facing programs and projects and lead Customer Energy Solutions Compliance tracking and reporting activities. This includes leading customer energy solutions program and portfolio KPI tracking and reporting functions. The position will work in the Power BI and MSFT Excel environment, conducting analysis on portfolio and program status, and developing reports to effectively communicate program status against targets. The position will lead compliance reporting and tracking activities to ensure the Customer Energy Solutions team meets current and future compliance reporting activities. This will include working with legal, internal and external auditors and external affairs staff. Create, recommend and implement changes to regulations, policies and related customer processes and procedures; and to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Evaluates, designs and documents associated process change. The position will also support the Energy Structure and Trading and Energy Operations and Planning teams as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluation of new laws and regulations to identify new compliance requirements. Responsible for all compliance reporting functions within the CES group including developing and implementing processes and controls to ensure the appropriate information is submitted on time. Responsible for working with internal and external audit, legal, and external affairs.
  • Supports program and portfolio performance tracking and reporting functions. Includes working in the Power BI environment to design and generate reports to support effective management of programs. Conduct analysis to support program implementation and decision making.
  • Centralized process administrator for the regulations and policies; including the lead effort to develop and streamline data systems that maintain proper organization of material, update processes, and maintenance and archival of paper and electronic documentation.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to all regulation and policy stakeholders in developing or evolving existing programs with a focus on ensuring that all associated back-office processes and procedures are thought out, compliant with internal and external audit requirements, and are documented.
  • Assist in resolving operational and business process issues by communicating effectively with diverse internal and external personalities and with various group throughout the organization, identifying issues, conducting research to find alternative solutions, making and assisting in the implementation of recommendations.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance: Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
  • As an essential function, drive a motorized vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the District.
