Description Do you have an accounting background and a desire to join a Real Estate & Property firm? Robert Half could have the Senior Accountant role for you! In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Woodland Hills, California with a company in the Real Estate & Property field. What you get to do every single day
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Month end closings experience desired
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Strong time management skills preferred
Experience with ERP systems
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
