Your degree (Master's or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or audit has enabled you to work in a renowned firm. Your rigor and organizational skills, combined with your understanding of the Cameroonian legal and fiscal framework, make you an excellent resource. Excel, Google Suite, and at least one accounting software are second nature to you. Your office is as organized as your mind: orderly, well-arranged, and with enough room to think "outside the box." Your language skills (English, and also French or another language) indicate your open-mindedness and explorer's spirit.
Look no further! Enko Education is looking for a dynamic person to join our school in Yaoundé as a Financial Manager. Your work will be crucial in the development of this school and its educational model based on three pillars: Africa as a foundation, the World as a playground, and the Future in daily life.
Here’s what you will accomplish:
Maintain Accounting and Manage Payments:
You will be responsible for keeping the school's books up to date rigorously and accurately, ensuring a true and fair view of the accounts at all times.
You will justify the balances in the accounting records and prepare accounts for the annual closing (pre-balance sheets).
You will efficiently manage the school's payments and associated administrative records.
Relationships with Parents and Tuition Fee Collection:
Budget Production and Application:
Implementation and Mastery of Financial Tools:
Financial Reporting and Communication:
You will provide the school management and Enko Education's headquarters finance team with all necessary reporting elements, according to the group's established standards.
You will establish qualitative and relevant financial reports for the school and the headquarters finance department, respecting the group's official calendar.
Compliance and Regulations:
You will ensure that the school's finances comply with national tax regulations and the group's international standards.
You will actively participate in audit work and reviews of the school's economic situation.
Purchasing and Financial Commitments Management:
You will manage the school's purchases and financial and regulatory commitments.
You will participate in the selection of suppliers, respecting the golden rules of purchasing, and ensure the settlement of debts.
Support to the HR Department:
You will assist the HR department in reviewing and maintaining payroll, in collaboration with the accounting firm when necessary.
You will ensure the payment of monthly salaries no later than the 2nd of month M+1 and the liquidation of related taxes and contributions.
Managerial Support:
- You will assist the school's managerial team in all financial and economic aspects to ensure effective management in line with the group's standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Fluent in both French and English
Bachelor’s degree (Bac + 4) minimum in Accounting and Finance or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 2 years of team management experience.
Mastery of accounting techniques and software, financial analysis, and Cameroonian corporate taxation for the education sector
Experience in supervising and managing a team
High level of rigor to ensure the accuracy of accounts
Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
The candidate must be results-oriented, capable of working in a smart and highly digitalized environment (proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets is a plus). They should have strong communication skills, a team spirit, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, adaptability to their environment, and excellent time management skills.
