Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This position involves operating packaging and process machinery, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining product quality. You will work under the direction of a Production Supervisor and/or Lead Person, with shifts available across multiple time slots including 2nd shift (2p–10:30p M-F), 3rd shift (10p-6:30a S-F), and day shifts with varying schedules.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up packaging and candy-making equipment.
Perform basic adjustments and maintain performance levels of machinery.
Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.
Maintain clear and open communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.
Adhere to Company established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures.
Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, perform specified cleaning at end of product run and shift.
Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks.
Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control.
Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.
Follow all Food Safety and Quality Policies and Programs.
Report any food safety and quality concerns immediately.
Essential Skills
Ability to read work-related material and follow directions.
1-4 years of experience in a related field to become technically proficient.
Understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of equipment.
Knowledge of chocolate composition and function and/or troubleshooting.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to stand 8 to 12 hours per day.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50lbs as needed.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean, well maintained, and comfortable, though it is not climate controlled. Personal protective equipment such as ear plugs, safety toed shoes, jacket, and hair/beard nets are required. You will be handling products similar to Hershey's bars/pretzels and Unreal Coconut bars.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.
