3 - 12's; 7a-7p rotation with weekends, on call and 2 holidays per year
General Summary
Performs routine diagnostic, technical and/or special radiographic procedures at a general skill level.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
Performs diagnostic procedures in one of the following specialty areas at a beginner level: operating room procedures (includes overhead, fluoroscopic and C-arm procedures), complex portables, or trauma procedures.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures
Properly processes images using digital technology
Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%.
Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.
